A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME…

Michael Kushner Photography • H/M Sarah Hamaty

As a child I was fascinated by the magic of the world, always asking questions. I dreamt of being every profession imaginable, from chef to lawyer to witch (maybe I watched too much Charmed, who’s to say). In reality, I didn’t want to be just one of them, I wanted to be all of them. So, I became an actor.

Although my life has been short, it’s definitely been action-packed. I have lived far below the poverty line and I’ve lived with millionaires (though, never for too long.) I’ve traveled and studied in Spain, Ghana, London, UK., and more! I’ve learned many lessons and met remarkable people who inspire me every single day.

I am mixed-race and I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I work to be an ally to those who are affected by racism and systemic oppression.

Currently, I am in the Ensemble of the National Tour of Pretty Woman The Musical covering David Morse and Alfredo! Catch me in a city near you!

In all that I do, I use my multi-disciplinary skill set and intersectional identity to bring levity, grounding, focus, and joy to every room that I enter. I love what I do.

THINGS I CARE ABOUT…

Intersectional Identities and Theatre

As a biracial human myself, I’ve always been drawn to stories that explore the intersectionalities of race, gender, class, etc. “Miscast/e” examines the role that Black-White biracial people have played in American history in contrast to the lack of roles written for biracial people in American theatre.
